Technology without use is wasted

Measuring what matters
Measuring adoption isn’t glamorous, but it’s honest. You can track logins, usage rates, workflow completion with AI enabled versus bypassed. You can measure how often people override outputs, how often they request support, and whether the AI becomes the default path rather than the exception. These are the signals that tell you whether the system is delivering.
If adoption is low, it doesn’t matter what the accuracy report says. If adoption is high, even a modest performance gain compounds into real impact.
Adoption as strategy
Treating adoption as the real metric changes how organisations approach AI. Instead of starting with the model, you start with the user. Instead of celebrating technical milestones, you celebrate workflows that teams actually embrace. Instead of counting projects delivered, you count systems that became embedded and stayed in use.

AI will keep evolving, models will keep improving, but the test is always the same: do people actually use it? Adoption is the gatekeeper between promise and value. Ignore it, and even the smartest system fails. Build for it, measure it, and protect it - and AI becomes something that lasts.
